Mission
The mission of the Olde Town Grove City Initiative is to promote local business, to market the area to new businesses, to create cohesiveness where everyone works for the common good, to maintain the historic heritage of the area, and to work to attract more employment opportunities and more customers to the area.
Vision
To be a community who recognizes the unique and varied economic interests and needs of downtown business and property owners and encourages economic growth through new development and revitalization while maintaining the integrity of historic downtown Grove City. The Olde Town Initiative strives to become an excellent example of how private enterprise, working in cooperation with local government officials and policy makers, can build on existing assets to revitalize our downtown community to be a shopping and tourist destination.Formally adopted by the Olde Town Initiative, May 2005

Facade Improvement Program
The downtown Main Street of Grove City – from Broad to Center Streets– was built over many years, and uniquely defines how the area grew and developed commercially. There are a variety of architectural styles and periods represented, as well as mixed uses.
The goal of the façade program is to honor the diversity and architectural integrity of style and times, creating a genuine restoration. The objective is to encourage architecturally appropriate restoration of commercial facades to enhance their original appearance.
The design guidelines proposed are intended to enhance the character of the town, rather than prescribe strict rules for conformity. The goal is to choose rehabilitation plans and techniques that will assist property owners in crating a series of buildings that reflect the historical flavor and character of the town, and help build a competitive and economically viable downtown.
The Olde Town Design Challenge program will provide financial assistant to current property or business owners. Additionally the Economic Restructuring Committee has set up a below market rate loan program to provide further assistance.
We believe that in concert with the streetscape, marketing, and business recruitment strategies, we will be able to prevent further erosion of the Grove City Downtown Business District.
